A rare encounter in the heart of the Sahara! Hassan is one of the very first Touareg guides in Merzouga, and it shows. Thanks to him, a friend and I had a genuine immersion, far from the standard tourist circuits. On the program: a visit to nomadic Berber villages, traditional music in an intimate setting, a night under a tent in the dunes with an exceptional dinner, and a spectacular 4x4 ride through Erg Chebbi. Hassan also took us to rare sites that few guides know about: the Escalier Céleste, the Cité d'Orion and the underground Berber canals (khettaras). Beyond his qualities as a guide, Hassan is a deeply warm, generous and passionate person. If you pass through Merzouga, look no further. Thank you Hassan, from the bottom of my heart.

Desert immersion

A very kind man who showed us interesting things about life in the desert, his garden, and made tea with herbs for us. He speaks English very well. We recommend stopping here for a short break on the way to the camps in Merzouga.

Stop on the way to Merzouga

We were lucky enough to meet an absolutely exceptional guide during our visit to the desert. He stayed with us throughout the afternoon and the evening, truly taking his time with us and never rushing. He even rescued us from a breakdown. We also talked at length over a glass of tea, which made the experience even more authentic and human. I will keep an unforgettable memory of this encounter. Thank you again.

An afternoon and evening in the desert

A great experience with great hosts. The tours are really interesting: we got to know the underground waterways and their history. Tea and dates are included, and they are excellent.
